How to install a travel eSIM on iPhone
Install the eSIM at home, on Wi-Fi, before you travel. It stays switched off until you need it, and your plan's days start only when it first connects at your destination.
One tap (iOS 17.4 or newer)
Open the email with your eSIM, or your order page, on the iPhone itself and tap Install on iPhone. Follow the steps on screen.
With the QR code
Show the QR code on another screen (a computer or a second phone). On the iPhone go to Settings › Cellular › Add eSIM › Use QR Code and scan it.
Typing the details
Settings › Cellular › Add eSIM › Use QR Code › Enter Details Manually. Copy the SM-DP+ address and the activation code from your order page.
After installing
Name the line Travel, keep your own line for calls and messages, and leave the travel line's data off until you land. When you arrive, choose it for cellular data and turn on data roaming for it.
