My eSIM is installed but there is no internet
An eSIM that installed but does not connect is nearly always a setting on the phone, not a fault in the eSIM. Try these in order; each takes a minute.
1. Data roaming on for the travel line
Your phone sees the local network as roaming, so the QuikRoam line needs data roaming switched on. iPhone: Settings › Cellular › the QuikRoam line › Data Roaming. Android: Settings › Network & internet › SIMs › the QuikRoam line › Roaming.
2. The travel line chosen for mobile data
If your home line is still the data line, the phone never uses the eSIM. iPhone: Settings › Cellular › Cellular Data › the QuikRoam line. Android: Settings › Network & internet › SIMs › Mobile data › the QuikRoam line.
3. Restart, or turn airplane mode on and off
After the two settings above, a restart makes the phone register on the local network again. Give it a minute after you land: the first connection in a new country can take a little longer.
4. The access point (APN)
It is set automatically on almost every phone. If an Android phone still has no data, open the settings of the QuikRoam line, add an access point named isp and select it. On iPhone, leave the APN on automatic.
5. Choose the network by hand
If the phone keeps searching, turn off automatic network selection for the QuikRoam line and pick one of the networks listed on your plan card.
Still nothing?
Write to us from the help page or the chat with your order number. Tell us the country and what the phone shows at the top of the screen. If the eSIM was never installed, it can still be refunded from your order page.
